Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss - Peach Petal Photos, Review and Swatches

Peach Petal is absolutely lovely. I love the milky peach shade and its consistency (so smooth and creamy). Again, it is opaque but it’s not overwhelming such that you look ill. It is able to neutralize my pigmented lips while giving a nice glossy finish without drying my lips. For the perfect nude pairing, use this over Revlon’s Soft Nude lipstick!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss: Pink Whisper & Peach Petal Photos, Swatches and Review

These were all the rave a year or so ago: I remember literally everyone on YouTube talking about this and this was always sold out in drugstores - it was just madness trying to get my hands on this. It took me quite a while to find Pink Pout and even later to get Peach Petal.

These glosses are the best drugstore glosses I have ever tried. The packaging is simple but not cheap looking at the same time.

I am not the biggest fan of lip glosses but even I was super enticed by this. An affordable but good quality lip gloss? Why not? This was the route to go to purchase the two “necessary” shades, a pink and a nude (and probably a red too if you can rock a red lip). Thankfully, Revlon had these shades in this collection.

Pink Pout is the perfect pink - this gloss is ‘that’ pink every girl should have in their makeup collection. This is a pale milky pink-nude shade that is great on its own, as it is quite opaque, or over a nude or pink lipstick. It definitely gives your lips a really nice hint of colour and shine.

Revlon Nude Lipsticks (Soft Nude, Nude Attitude, Just Enough Buff) Photos, Swatches and Review

Soft Nude, Nude Attitude, Just Enough Buff

Recently, I've been gravitating toward nude lipsticks and lipglosses, simply because since my lips are really already super pigmented, I don't want to add more colour to it and also, I am just into the nude-ish lips phase right now. Yesterday, I was at the drugstore and I picked "Just Enough Buff" up on a whim - not recalling that I already have quite a collection of nude lipsticks at home. Specifically, I have a mini nude lipstick collection from Revlon!

Soft Nude, Nude Attitude, Just Enough Buff

Out of these three, Soft Nude is definitely still my favourite as the packaging is adorable, the formula is super smooth and applies nicely - and it's just the perfect nude!

Of course, Nude Attitude is a total nude! The fact that it's matte too, makes it even more less wearable for me but I just had to buy this for my collection. This one is good for layering and blanking out your lips for some other coloured lipsticks.

Just Enough Buff
Just Enough Buff is the most wearable one for me though. It is quite sheer and does not instantly make me look dead nor does it look like I've obviously put on some fake looking nude lip. I throw this lippie in my bag for when I want to tone down the natural red pigmentation of my lips. However, I do find that this lipstick is slightly too orange for me at times.

Too Faced Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer Photos and Review

I am not one to use a primer everyday but when I do, the primer has to be something that will help my makeup glide on effortlessly but at the same time, does not feel so heavy, because let’s face it, who would want to use a primer that felt super thick under all the other face products we put on top of it? The Too Faced Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer does well in this category as well as it being fast-absorbing.

As you can see, the actual product is not clear or white like many other primers, but instead, it is a nude coloured substance but don’t let that turn you away. Once applied to the skin, the tint disappears as if it goes to work to even out your skin tone.
Another thing I love about this primer is that you can wear this alone because it really does help even your skin tone just a slight bit - a property that I rarely find in other primers. It just leaves your skin smooth and almost pore-less. I definitely recommend this primer!

Cherry Culture Haul (Jordana, NYX)

I was watching Nurberxo’s blogTV one evening and she was mentioning how much she loved the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara so me, being the mascara junkie I am, I gave that mascara a quick google only to find outstanding reviews on it on makeupalley. The reviews were superb: lengthening, long wearing, volumizing, easily available, and dirt cheap. I could not pass this up - the only thing that did keep me from running out the door and stashing a few tubes of these was the fact that none of the drugstores here in Canada carry the Jordana brand. Thus, I had to resort to google, again, and I found that Cherry Culture sold this. Because international shipping on Cherry Culture depends on the weight of products purchased, I had to decide whether I should buy multiples, just in case I fall so in love with it that I would want/need backups or if I should just try one and if I didn’t like it, I would have no extras to get rid of but if I did like it, fork out some extra bills for the proceeding shipment. I bite the bullet and ordered three. Along with that, I picked up two lip products that were not readily available here as well. I do not own any lipliners whatsoever so I thought with Jordana’s unbelievably affordable price, it would not hurt to give it a go. The Jordana Easyliner For Lips shade I chose was "Tawny" - I had thought that this would be more of a nude colour but it's really a dark pink with mauvey undertones. The NYX Tinted Lip Spa was an impulse buy though ... and it's one that I regret! The color box on Cherry Culture had this shade looking like it would be a nude, peachy tint and the swatches I looked up was not what was reality for me; the lip spa turned out to be a bright and sheer pink I have a lot of sheer pink lip products so this one, I could have really done with out.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that the Jordana mascara is all that it is hyped up to be! I'm always on the hunt for an affordable HG mascara! ;)
